ISS is a modular space station in the lower Earth orbit to accommodate satellites that is being launched and to keep the world under observations. The ownership of this ISS is collectively taken care by NASA(USA), JAXA(Japan), ESA(Europe), CSA(Canada), and Roscosmos(Russia) . Any countries can send their satellites to this space station and they can do research on their objectives by getting prior permission from these space agencies of 5 countries. To say in simple, As we have ISRO in India, ISS is for space. This keeps on revolving the earth's lower orbit and it is designed to fly at the speed of 17500 miles/hour.
