Infrastructural Budget

Which earnings and spending of a nation keep it different from others in the economy?

Why much importance is given to infrastructure?

Why Long Term Capital Gains is the focus of many developing nations?

Lets crack all these queries by seeing to the Union Budget for the year 2022.

India stands 3rd among the countries which spends most on infrastructure next to USA and Japan. This can be experienced if we look in to the progress of Indian Economy amidst the effect of COVID-19. India announced numerous schemes in its budget which shows that government kick starts the economy which doesn't only benefits the present period. These investments in various infrastructural sector will fetch the fantastic returns to the Government and its people in the near and far future.

Infrastructure is not only the construction of building and providing beautiful amenities in it. It matters on every sector which provides basic and contemporary technology that drives that sector to the peak. Digital network, Artificial Intelligence, Machine learning and Cloud Computing are emerging and driving technology in the present day. Hence, Government strives to inculcate these technologies in the sectors such as Health, Governance, Highways, Energy transmission, Engineering Marvels and so on. This kind of investment puts our economy as the fastest growing economy in the world.

PM Gati Sakthi is one such scheme which roles out around 100 lakh crore in various sectors for infrastructure development. As mentioned by our Union Finance Minister in her budget speech, Its better to spend much in capital investment than in revenue spending. Because capital investment shows the best multiplier effect.

Government's way forward in capital expenditures through following schemes:

1. PM Gatisakthi: Major infrastructural investments in Roads, Railways, Waterways, Airport, Port, Mass transportation, Logistics.

2.National Digital Health Mission: Digitizing each and every health records that can be accessible from anywhere and anytime.

3.Kisan Drones, chemical free natural forming

4.Digital universities

5.National tele mental health progrmme

6.PM DevINE- PM Development Initiative for North East, Special focus to develop more infrastructural projects and to accessible technologies at their doorstep.

7.Bharathmala Pariyojana-  around 34800 crore rupees to national highways and expressways to connect ports and markets and develop logistics movement in lage. .

Above are some of the schemes to which government diverts the income for capital spending.

Take away:

Here we can also take a lesson to our life that where we invest our time, money and knowledge rather how much we invest. How much we invest would not give much returns; Its where we invest our precious possessives.
